May 26, 2020 – Learn Air Filtration with Experts

Waterloo Filtration Institute completed the third course in this summer’s training session designed to improve knowledge of filtration and medias used in their processes.

As we learned Media Technology is the core and critical competitive edge of modern filtration technologies. The WFI training course Filter Media Technologies was well delivered online this morning by Dr. Christine Sun. Its aim is to help you improve your overall understanding of the filter media market, including current high demanded facemask media in response to COVID-19. WFI also highlighted different filter media technologies, and products, such as nonwovens, nanofibers, membranes, ceramics, metals, activated carbon, and other porous materials. In addition, emerging technologies, challenges, and trends for future development were also be discussed in hopes of providing a glimpse into the future of filtration.

The continued summer training series of courses will continue with Air Filtration on Tuesday, May 26th, and will provide the first in a two-part course on this subject.

Our next course will be Air Filtration with our instructor Kathleen Owen and Dr. Christine Sun. Our special panelist Mr. Bob Burkhead will at the meeting to aid providing answers to any questions. This should be an exciting and interesting course promising to improve everyone’s knowledge on this subject.
