Chen, Wu (USA)
Dr. Chen is recently retired from Dow USA as an R&D Fellow. He has 30+ years of industrial experience in solid/liquid separation and air/gas filtration, for both technologies and filtration markets. He also has expertise in particle formation, particle characterization, interfacial science, coagulation and flocculation, slurry Handling, bioprocessing, process development, project management, and plant construction, start up and operation. Dr. Chen has been teaching filtration and separation courses at American Filtration & Separation Society (AFS), American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) and many other organizations globally for 30 years. He is the current chair of AFS Education Committee and the coordinator of AFS short courses. He had served AFS in a role of AFS chair, board of directors, conference chairs, local chapter officer and member of various committees in the past. He received the AFS Fellow Award in 2010. He has over 100 publications including chapters in two recent editions of Perry's Chemical Engineering Handbook. He has also been invited as plenary and keynote speakers for numerous international conferences.
