This course will be the first in the Liquid Filtration Series of the 4 course curricula with Liquid Filter Design, Solid/Liquid Separation, and Liquid Filter Testing and Evaluation.
Liquid Filtration
This course is designed for certifying professionals as a specialist in solid/liquid separation - sometimes called liquid filtration. Separation of particles from a liquid can be accomplished by filtration (separation with a filter medium) or field separation (separation without a filter medium).
Dr. Chen has over 30 years of industrial experience in all areas of solid/liquid separation and air/gas filtration, in both technologies and business perspectives. His experiences include laboratory filtration evaluation, pilot study, full-scale procurement, installation, startup, and troubleshooting. He also has expertise in project management, process design, and plant startup. He has been teaching this course in numerous organizations and countries for over 20 years. He is very active in the filtration industry and technology arena. He has been the plenary and keynote speaker in major conferences. He has served as the chair of the American Filtration and Separation Society (AFS), AFS board of directors, conference chairs, and various committees member.
