Particle/Air Separation, June 16

Waterloo Filtration Institute (WFI) will begin the 10th and 11th courses in this summer’s training session designed to continuously improve your knowledge of Particle/Air Filtration and Gas Phase Filtration. We will complete all CFSS 2020 courses required on air filtration with Bob Burkhead on his course on Air Filtration Testing and Evaluation on June 30, 2020.

Upcoming Courses

June 16,2020 – Particle/Air Separation by Prof. Chao Tan of the University of Waterloo, This course will discuss the techniques of particle removal from air streams, which are not covered in air filtration. Topics include cyclones, electrostatic precipitators, and wet scrubbers. The air filtration specialists need to understand these pre-filtration separation processes because they are often needed in the design of filtration systems.

June 23, 2020 – Gas Phase Filtration by Mr. Kevin Jameson, President of Pure Air Filtration, a company that specializes in gas phase filtration. The objective of this course is to help you get an overall understanding of gas phase filtration market and technologies for air purification in terms of removing harmful gases, VOCs, and odors, etc.

June 30, 2020 – Air Filtration Testing and Evaluation by Mr. Bob Burkhead, President of Blue Heaven Technologies. This course is intended to provide a broad understanding of the test methodologies and techniques used in developing nonwoven air filtration media and manufactured end products. Specific focus is given to a wide variety of application-driven developments and covers HVAC, automotive, industrial, clean spaces, and medical applications, among others.and medical applications, among others.
